5 Tips to Becoming a Sponsoring Machine in Network Marketing & Podcasting

In this episode, I’m going to explain 5 tips for you to sponsor almost effortlessly.

If you are not sponsoring people into your network marketing business, you will not replace your income. It’s that simple. It’s the nature of the beast and you have to respect that.

I remember sponsoring a lady back in 2009 and she refused to understand that building a distribution channel by sponsoring is the job of a network marketer. Not retail sales.

Retail sales is where the money comes from. You usually need just a handful personally to qualify in the compensation plan of most network marketing companies. But leveraging other people’s resources is where freedom lies.

So there you have it. Let me share something with you.

In a traditional business, you have to have a team to hit your fullest potential. Have you heard the saying teamwork makes the dream work?

Sponsoring is simply the act of building partnerships in layers that turns into a distribution channel for a product or service. Don’t complicate it beyond that.

What would you do if you created a social media platform like Facebook and you had to bring it out to a billion dollar level? You’d recruit business partners and investors. It’s the same *shYt*.

So now that you know how important it is to sponsor and recruit into your home business, let’s talk about 5 tips to doing it without worrying about rejection from loved ones, failure and the pain most people attach to sales and recruiting.

1. Become an Authority

There is something about positioning and posture with authority that leave people with the only choice of:

  • Respect and
  • Response

As humans, we recognize AUTHORITY before it ever need to prove itself. We can see it and we can smell it from 1,000 miles away–even wirelessly. So does your average prospect

When you become an authority and expert in the game of building a home business, people will chase after you. People will be attracted to you because authority is simply one of the traits of a leader.

So how do you become an authority or what does that even mean?

It means you are the ‘go to person’ when it comes to the related topic. This applies in any industry–even on a job. Employers will hire you faster when you show and prove to them that you are the authority in the related topic or subject.

There 2 steps to becoming an authority:

  • Remaining a student of the game
  • Sharing everything as fast, as wide, as much as possible with a growing audience.

2. It’s a Numbers game

You have to apply the law of numbers and averages in your favor. I’d love everyone I talk to about my business to join but it simply doesn’t work that way.

Just yesterday, my father and I were talking about quality and quantity. You have to pay attention to context when determining which on is more important.

IF… you have a quality product and service, it may attract quantity in demand but the keyword is ‘may’. Social proof and popularity is a part of the success game and major factor like a couple of other things.

When you are searching for quality prospects, you have to create quantity in exposure to find the diamond in the rough. It’s a numbers game.

Your results will be better if you learn how to convert more prospects into reps of course, but the more people exposed to your opportunity, the better.

3. Become an Entrepreneur

Joining a network marketing deal or getting sponsored by your cousin into an MLM is not an entrepreneurial license. Sorry, it’s just not. They are 2 different things.

If you want to become a sponsoring machine, this is a hurdle you have to get past. Here are your odds. Most people won’t but that’s not a bad thing. That’s what separates the champions from the losers.

Sadly, a lot of people bring the J.O.B mindset to the game. That’s like bringing a pencil to a gun fight. It ain’t gon’ fly.

Entrepreneurship requires self motivation in addition to remaining a success student. But guess what requires an entrepreneurial skill… Yurp… success in network marketing. It only belongs to the entrepreneurs in the game.

Hence the 98+% failure rate.

Go hard or go home… nobody’s mammy is here to lie to them or pat them on the back when things get tough. Producing sales and recruiting with limited support requires you to become a go-getter if you are not already one…

…but it’s absolutely worth everything.

There is a high chance that your upline quit on themselves the day after you got started. What are you going to do about it?

4. Use a Tracking system

Every successful business owners are aware of time. Broke people and most network marketers are not aware of time.

This is how I personally like to use my time as a resource. I track it and my other resources. There are tools available to do that in the digital age. The 1st one is your smart phone.

I always chose the former. The amateurs go with the latter because they sit down in Star Bucks trying to convince a prospect as their chances diminishes by the second.

Your job is marketing 1st and everything else 2nd–including networking. Not only do you need massive exposure to become a sponsoring machine, you need to track the use of your limited resources.

Amateur network marketers just throw mud at the wall and hope something sticks. Ain’t gon’ happen. Even if it did, you won’t be there to notice. What’s the point of results generated when you are not there to notice?

5. Go for the NOs

This is very connected to #4. If your goal is positioned in a way that creates massive exposure, you win. If your goal exposes you to a disappointment feeling all the time , you will lose.

“Hope differed maketh the hearth weak”

Going for the NOs is a simple strategy to stay focused on the long term. Building a network marketing business is a marathon and not a sprint. You have to get more NOs and be numb to them.

This is how you are going to get your YESes. But the problem is that those rejections still have effect on anyone with a human brain on. It’s easier said than done but thanks to technology.

Networking in the Digital Age

Protecting your emotions from the effect of rejections is easy to do with today’s simple technology. As a matter of fact, I collect no less than 300 – 500 NOs per day. That’s why I’ve been able to sponsor about 1,500 reps and customers personally.

You may be wondering how I am able to support 1,500 reps.

Well, I presently support only 7 of them personally. PLUS, it’s the company’s responsibility to train and support the mediocre reps–I say that with all due respect. Anyone outside of the mediocrity box can find me by phone, text and email.

So 300 – 500 NO’s per day results easily in 20 – 30 new reps and customers every month.

How am I able to talk to 300 – 500 people per day?

I DON’T.

My online videos, articles and audio and other virtual real estate agents and soon, tons podcast episodes do the work. They actually do a better job than I could personally do.

These things don’t get tired. They don’t ever feel rejected either.
