On today’s episode, I want to give you Network Marketing 2.0 for Dummies. First of all, before I get into that, let me share with you that there is a book out there called Network Marketing for Dummies by Zig Ziglar.

I don’t know if you could find a free PDF download somewhere out there. I am not too sure about that. I don’t usually encourage that. I encourage that you go, and pick it up at Amazon.com.

Pay for it, because the more you give into this world, the more you receive. That is my really simple recommendation for you on this particular book. It is called Network Marketing for Dummies by Zig Ziglar. I love Zig Ziglar, I love his teachings.

One of my favorite quotes from Zig Ziglar is:

Help more people get what they want, and yours will get taken care of.

The scripture says…

Seek ye first the Kingdom of God, and everything thou shall be added on to it.

If you have an ounce of wisdom, you will know that those two things are saying the same thing. The more you give, the more you will receive. “:But, but I give enough.” Well sometimes you have to think outside of the box when it comes to giving.

The real question here is, how many people out there are receiving value from your daily activities directly, or indirectly?

Sometimes people are busy serving their boss, and they think they are also serving people. Well, if you are serving your boss, and your boss is the one that put that job in place in the first place….

The person that actually put that together; the person behind the brain power that put that all infrastructure together, is the one serving the most people. Maybe that sounds unfair, but that is just the reality of it.

You want to start thinking outside the box. How can you serve more people? How can you remove yourself from a place where you are serving just a boss, and start serving more people?

Sometimes that takes thinking:

  1. Thinking beyond what you are familiar with.
  2. Thinking beyond with what you may have grown up with.

Like I said, I wanted to share with you Network Marketing 2.0 for Dummies, and a lot of people need me to go over, and break it down even further. It is not that much different from Network Marketing as you may be familiar with it.

What is Network Marketing in dummies language? Let me give this definition a shot…

It’s an opportunity for you to build a team a.k.a a distribution channel for a particular product using your existing relationship–with the existing relationship but it stops right there.

That is where most people get stuck when it comes to traditional Network Marketing. Using your existing relationship. Maybe you are one of those people, like most people.

You already found that your existing relationship is not a lot for you to build a million dollar business. The way around that is to create more relationships, but there is a problem with that.

Most people are very comfortable with the few people that they have around them. Let me give you an example.

If you go through your phone right now, and you go to the most recent calls, and look over for the last ninety days, you will find that it is the same people you are talking to on a daily basis.

Maybe your spouse, your children, few of your cousin that you call or get calls from; not all your cousin of course. You probably have 5 – 10 different people that you talk to consistently on a regular basis, and never beyond that.

When you join a traditional Network Marketing, you are told to make a list of all your family, and friends, including the one’s you have not spoken to in 7 to t10 years.

That, right there, is going to create a friction for your business. That right there is going to make you feel scared to call them, only to sell them on an idea and only to sell them stuff.

You may say, “I just want to take all my friends, and family along with me to the top.”, but that is a lie.

Usually people are making that list of friends, and family because they want to make money. It is a selfish reason and that’s not the best way to build a business.

1. The principle, “the more people you serve, the more money you are going to make” is defiled.

2. “Seek ye first the Kingdom of God, and everything else shall be added on to it”… that is also defiled.

In my opinion, the more value you bring to the market place, the better. If the only value you bring to the market place is an opportunity to make money from recruiting your loved ones, sadly that is not going to be good enough.

There is multiple reasons why that is not going to be good enough. You are the only one seeing the value in that.

“But my cousins would like to make money too.” WRING! Most people think they would like to make money too, until they realize how much work is involved even though a lot of the work is brain power.

The other day I was talking to a gentleman who thinks it takes a lot of money to make money from home. Actually that is totally untrue, but I get it.

Most people feel that way. Especially when you are talking about marketing budget. But the key to making a lot of money from home, is to be able to think outside of the box.

The number one key to thinking outside of the box, is to surround yourself with those type of people that knows how to think outside of the box.

That is Network Marketing for Dummies. It’s about leveraging…

…your existing relationships for business building and hopefully you can use those existing relationships to build a viable distribution channel.

But it is a little bit different in Network Marketing 2.0. In Network Marketing 2.0, you have the ultimate permission to create more relationships by meeting more people using marketing.

It involves the actual skills of marketing. Marketing is very simple. The hard part about it is to put your head down, and be ready to learn marketing. In “Network Marketing”, the last word is ‘marketing’.

Most of you people remember the Networking, but they forget about the marketing. Marketing involves you deliberately creating a campaign that attracts more people to yourself as a brand; and as a leader that can take them to the dream.

But it involves target marketing.

In other words, it has to be people that are most likely interested in whatever you are selling; which is a business opportunity.

You are not selling juice as a Network Marketer. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. You are not selling juice. You are not selling soda. You are not selling weight loss, you are selling a business opportunity.

Now you have got to find the balance, so you don’t get into trouble, but that is essentially what is going on here.
