3 reasons why network marketing attracts low quality entrepreneurs and how to fix it.


On this episode, I want to dish a bunch of “why network marketing” based on popular demand. The truth is that network marketing being a viable or non-viable business is not common sense.

There are lots of doubts and stigmas surrounding the business due to the following 3 reasons.

1. It’s cheap to join.

Generally it cost less than $50,000 to join a network marketing company.

Even though this is an advantage, there are significant differences in the mind of a person who invests $1,000,000 (million) in a franchise and a person who invests less than $50,000.

For one, the former has more to lose than the latter. $50,000 is not a lot of money and if someone loses it in an investment, it’s not a big deal. They can let go.

However when someone invests $1,000,000 into a business venture, quitting just simply doesn’t exist. It’s like suicide. It’s a sad thing and it doesn’t existing in you and I’s vocabulary.

When you invest $7 in a business venture, the first thing that crosses your mind when you hit an obstacle is “this is a scam, let me stop.”

But the first thing that comes to mind for a real entrepreneur is “asking questions.”

Therefore the ability to join very cheaply is one of the reasons why network marketing attracts low quality entrepreneurs who thinks about quitting first when hit with obstacles.

It’s one of the reasons why the rich gets richer and the poor gets poorer. The rich is always ready to invest significantly in themselves since day 1; even when they were still broke. They figure it out.

2. It’s open to any and everyone to join.

Some of the highest achievers of the world have masterminds. These are groups that requires certain level of qualification to join. All that is required of you to join network marketing is a couple of hundred dollars.

In the long run, this is not a positive. Granted, a lot of leaders have things in place to filter through all the low quality entrepreneurs. That’s why top earners would not pick your phone.

If all you want to do is to just talk and not produce, it’s not worth it for them. So a lot times, it’s necessary to prove first what you can do with sponsoring people into a $200 deal.

The real entrepreneurs figure it out.

Open door joining opportunity is good to attract volume. As usual, many of them will go into witness protection, stop picking up your phone and/or outright quit.

3. There are too many hyped marketing messages.

There are always exception to any rules. The few people that also joined at a cheap “less than $20,000” price are desperate to recruit. A lot of them would tell any lie just to make $100 bucks.

They’d insinuate to people that paying $7 is all they need to do make a million bucks. Now you know that’s a lie from the pits of hell. But these are the reasons why the network marketing profession attracts low quality entrepreneurs.

Some like me, of course, ended up going through all the wall of obstacles. That’s why we still have the top 3% that actually make money in the profession.

They are the one that gets accused of making all the money even though they started like everyone else from the bottom. But they figure it out like real entrepreneurs as the others whine and cry to mammi about their misfortune.

I am personally always in the mood of trying to figure something out. I live, eat and breath that status. I’m always figuring out how to get to the next level.

Others don’t even have to figure out what the next excuse is going to be… Excuses are always ready in an excuse bank to be used. Life is always happening so excuses are always ready.

It’s very important in today’s economy because it gives an average person a shot at entrepreneurship which is driving force in creating jobs.

Why network marketing is the business of the 21st century

Leverage is the core of building a network marketing business. You are positioned to make a little percentage off a lot of people’s effort. Your effort is limited to what you can do in 8-15 hours per day.

Even if you make $100 per hour, you would be limited to $1,500 per day.  That’s not a lot of money.  When leverage is involved, there are NO LIMITS.
