Question: “So I launched my products website about 7 months ago.
Initially, I sent a text message to my family and friends. Some of them patronized me while surprisingly most of them simply ignored my text message.
Then I decided may be I was inappropriate sending in a text message. I called them and crickets. None of them picked up the phone.
I’m thinking may be they have an idea why I was calling and simply don’t want to be bothered. To say the least, I hated this process thus far.
So I came to the internet to learn how to market. The first strategy I learned involved Pay Per click. Within the first day of trying that I lost $300. I panicked and stopped the campaign.
Then I started to buy traffic and leads courses upon courses. Between buying courses and trying campaigns, I’ve exhausted my bank account and wife is pissed off now.
I spent over $10,000 on solo ads in the past 2 months alone.
I’ve seen a few of your videos talking about S.E.O. Can you please elaborate, what does SEO mean and how is it different from the other traffic and leads generation strategies?
Thanks.”

ANSWER:
Traditionally, marketing in general has a cost to it. It still does but with technology there are hacks that will allow you to keep cost of advertising low. One of them is SEO.
SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization.
It is the process whereby you optimize an online piece of content such as a published web page or video for the purpose of ranking in search results when an ideal prospect searches for answers and solution on Search Engines such as Google, Yahoo, Bing and YouTube.
Some use SEM interchangeably with SEO. SEM stands for Search Engine Marketing. SEM is more of a broader term while SEO is the actual optimization activity.
YES! There are other traffic generation methods such as Pay Per Click (PPC), Pay Per View (PPV), Solo Ad (which involves rent an email list to mail your offer too.) and many others. However, none of them are organic.
To label a online traffic source organic means that the prospects were search and looking for the solution already. All you did as a marketer is optimize you published web pages and videos for optimum visibility when they do search.
Outside of the time it took to create the content, the traffic and leads generated from this strategy is essentially free. There are free tools to publish and optimize your content. However, there are available SEO tools designed to save you even more time in analysis.
There are debates out there on whether you should spend time on SEO or not. Basically, some marketers questions the scalability of organic traffic. This doubt is a result of laziness in a mindset and time it takes to building an everlasting authority and brand.
These people are simply hung on the time they need to invest (usually less than 3 years) while I’m hung and sold on the everlasting authority and brand part. If you understand business properly, you should be playing a long game anyway.
Let me conclude with this questions. What does free traffic and leads for life sounds like to you? If you want to learn more and see a bunch of successful case studies with 3 secrets to free traffic and hot leads for life, reserve your seat in this free class:
