The main purpose of publishing video content on YouTube is to get paid, create new customers and growing revenue. With regards to this, it can take a while to start seeing results.
How long exactly should it take to start see meaningful results that’s worth while and the efforts? “Hope differed makes the heart weak”. It will be nice to have an idea of a reasonable expectation.
What I can share with you at this moment is the data from my personal YouTube channel. I launched it a bout 18 months ago and here below are the stats at press time.

There you have it. After publishing 326 videos, I am making $18 per month from YouTube ads revenue. However, that’s not the only way I make money from this videos.
It could be more. But not all 300+ videos have been properly optimized to attract audience from the search engines and suggested videos algorithm like the last 30 – 50 videos. The key is search engine optimization.
My personal goal is to publish enough optimized content and building enough subscribers that will be generating $10,000 or more in YouTube ads’s revenue alone every single month. That’s the secret.
There are lots of people generating much more than that from there YouTube ads revenue monthly. The speed of growth of the ads revenue is not constant over time. Because of simultaneous growth of multiple parameters (content, subscribers, views, watch minutes and most importantly consistency), you can expect an exponential growth.
For example, if it took you the first 2 years to get to $1,000 in monthly revenue, with consistency, expect to grow your revenue by $5,000 within the next 1 year after that. It’s called exponential growth. Expect that an average person is expected to quit in the beginning because growth will seem so slow.
While building in the beginning, there are other ways to make money. For example, the actual revenue in the last 30 days from other back end sources for this channel is $8,000+. You need to set that up as an encouragement to keep going with you video publishing. It makes it all worth it.
